Corporate
Culture
PDI
is actively involved in the set of shared attitudes, values, goals,
and practices that characterizes this company. From Corporate
Challenge to Christmas for Families, PDI employees work together to
make the community as well as the workplace a great environment.
Associate
Meetings PDI hosts quarterly offsite associate meetings that
allow the various departments of PDI to present past successes,
current business, and future plans. This gives associates an
opportunity to look into each department to strengthen company
insight, networking and overall camaraderie.
Summer Picnic
Annually, PDI hosts a "Summer Picnic."
PDI invites associates,
friends, and family for a day of fun. Previous Summer Picnics
have included go-carts, miniature golf, and a day at the lake. This
gives all a chance to unwind for a day of family fun.
Habitat
for Humanity (HFH) — PDI associates and families have the opportunity to participate in the Belton/Temple HFH, a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. The HFH organization works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing.
Golf
Tournament PDI coordinates an annual golf tournament for
associates and friends of PDI. This event gives attendees a day of
relaxation and fun with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
Scott &
White Blood Drive Every 8 weeks, Scott & White
hospital brings a portable blood center to PDI for blood
donations. In 2001, PDI raised over 148 pints of blood to
help fill the never-ceasing demand for blood in our area.
Christmas for
Families Each year, PDI
"adopts" families within
the community
to provide Christmas for those in times of need. The
year-long
fundraiser is supported by company breakfasts, luncheons, raffles, and
various other activities. This year, PDI raised enough money to
participate in the Back-to-School program as well as Christmas for
Families.
