PDI’s Annual Users Conference Draws Over 380 Retailers!


Temple, Texas (August 2006) – The PDI Users Conference kicked off August 26^th in Austin, TX, with over 380 retailers in attendance. The training conference provided retailers with focused course offerings related to merchandising and operations, finance and administration, fuel, point-of-sale, and technology.

Over 50 training classes prominently featured PDI/Enterprise, PDI’s next generation software. Cooperatively developed with over 250 PDI customers, PDI/Enterprise is designed from the ground up to do business electronically by automating routine business processes and integrating with supply chain and POS systems. Excitement for the upcoming launch of PDI/Enterprise at the NACS show in October was high among attendees as they discussed implementing the product’s intuitive, yet powerful features. Users already enjoying the benefits of PDI/Enterprise encouraged others to experience the benefits of doing business electronically and focusing on what matters most in their businesses.

Dr. Rick Rigsby, President and CEO of Rick Rigsby Communications and founder of Rick Rigsby Ministries, opened the conference with an inspirational and motivational Prayer Breakfast message. Later, Dr. Rigsby delivered the Keynote address, challenging attendees to teach our younger generation about traditional values. As Chaplain for the Texas A&M football team, Dr. Rigsby has an opportunity to mentor young men daily. His message to conference attendees was to take every occasion that presents itself and make an impact.

Attendees also participated in Monday evening’s Technology Showcase, where 18 companies displayed the latest PDI compatible technologies. Attendees were able to discuss the latest in proven hardware and software technology with subject matter experts from some of the industry’s leading vendors.

The annual PDI Users Conference provides hands-on training, product demonstrations, networking, and information sharing for convenience store and petroleum industry leaders.
